Jim has been programming on IBM midrange systems since 1985. He has developed and maintained manufacturing, inventory, distribution, accounting, time and attendance, customer service and clinical healthcare applications to satisfy a variety of user requirements.
His application development has included EDI, data collection and barcode applications that interface peripheral devices with IBM Midrange systems; FTP applications to exchange data using FTP web sites and IFS databases; RPGLE/SQL applications to extract data from a SQL database and return the data to Java Web applications; prescription drug screening applications to insure patient safety.
Since 1994 Jim has provided application support for multiple AS400/iSeries system configurations. This requires sharing data across multiple systems using SQL, FTP, Socket and SNA applications.
